Iron-On-Iron Program

According to a study by Partners for the Homeless, over 65 percent of the homeless in Memphis are admitted substance abusers.

That is why it is critical to provide the means for homeless men to overcome the various addictions that hold them in bondage.

On any given day, over 100 men are enrolled in various phases of Memphis Union Mission's Iron-On-Iron program. This long-term, comprehensive recovery and discipleship program builds character, instills work ethic and responsibility, and points men to a lasting relationship with Jesus Christ.

The program is primarily a residential program, consists of several phases at different locations, and typically lasts one year. There is no charge to enroll in the program.
